a bit more from the nowhere broken down carnival sideshow....have you ever seen a ghost look at herself in a funhouse mirror? .......< i did.....>
and i got it on film.
dream film
that forgotten playground... those broken down ferris wheels....
the sound of the shore.. or maybe....
memories lie
a ghost photo taken in a dream of an abandoned carnival place...
using the ever dreaming
and far, far too many dreams of that abandoned boardwalk that somehow plays host to a visiting carnival....

Love the way you're distorting bodies and adding words on your last works. With this one you seem to have reached a higher level on your sense of composing a piece of work.

a haunting chilling double-take of where and who. I know that sensation. A beautiful image... an eery sense of calm as if the broken calliope and carousel music fades to the background and the laughing of children and clowns long gone dies and a spectre passes through. a passage of beauty and tender myth... a sideshow performer/ trapeze artist/ lion tamer dancing girl relives her glory days under bigtop canopies and spotlights and gasps of ooos and ahhhhs for a fleeting moment in the corner of your gaze. distortions upon distortions in the funhouse mirror. and we can't see ourselves any truer. that's what she seems to say, perhaps humming a tune of deathdefying daring-do before she plummets away to memory and haze and crushed peanut shell dust coating the tearing, curling poster of the carnival coming to town in history's heyday. I love how your pictures make me think in whole story scenes. always. you talented thing.
