And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sittingOn the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming.
And the lamplight o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted---Nevermore!

This was inspired, obviously ( XD ) by Edgar Allen Poe's, The Raven. And I know it's cliche`, and that everyone and their mum seems to have a piece on The Raven on dA, buuuut, I just couldn't help putting my own twist onto things!

That's very true actually, and a wise thing to say.
But you're right, it's not about being popular or anything like that, it's who you touch with your work, and the fact, as you said, that you have a gift that can be used.
And you shouldn't worry, in time you will learn to use your gift in the same way.

That's what the sports team the Baltimore Ravens are named after too.. apparently Poe was from Baltimore..

This is fabulous. I Love the background with the dry weeds and ominous sky and the Raven looks so eerie. The red ribbon adds a nice touch.
By the way, I looked for those ribbons using the link you gave above but I couldn't find them. Would you mind sharing the download? I was looking for ribbons earlier and didn't know where to find them, LOL. Thank you, Tim.

And, well, as for the ribbons, I'm afraid I actually cheated a little there, I used 's glow string brushes, and used them as ribbons!

Hi Tim,
I searched for the 'glow string brush,'you mentioned and didn't find it but I really appreciate the ribbon links you gave. The first link, which was the best one, unfortunatly didn't work in PS because a pop-up said the dreaded,"Could not load brushes because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop." The 2nd link worked just fine.

Hey hun, I searched around myself for the glow string brushes for you, but it seems that actually, the stock artist has put her stock into storage, so I wasn't able to get you a link for the brush. I'm sorry about that! and it sucks that the ribbons brush didn't work, that first one was really good as well.
But at least you got one! If I come across anymore, I'll link them too you as well!
