It's a great work. If I may give you some tips, a little more light that shines on the cat and stairs and a little more shadow under the bird on the stairs and it is perfect.

For the lightning, I use many different layers in overlay (for example 50% and 30%) and different colours (yellow, orange) to give that special effect. I put lightning separate on the objects where the light must shine (for exemple on your photo, on the back of the cat)
