Description
This manip was created for Dynonugget ([link] ) to illustrate the Playwitch cover from her story "THAT Magazine" ([link] ).I actually deviated quite a bit from the poses she described in her story, but tried to capture the spirit of the cover (she tells me I succeeded - weeeee!).
I'm not used to working with color, I usually go B&W and then add a tint (fully expect me to do that going forward), but I couldn't see this magazine not doing full color. Also, it helps to distinguish the boys' respective characteristics.
So this was a challenge for me!
Thanks to Lulabelle72 ([link] ) for subtly suggesting I give this one a try! She's always so encouraging - I heart that girl!!!!
Next manip...back to SSHG!!!

This is very funny and well done, but why didn't you use the faces of the actual actors? (The only reason I can think of is that you thought them too young.)

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments! Wee!
Although you will see a bit of Alan Rickman in some of my Snape manips (I've also used Adrien Brody & Trent Reznor), I really don't use the movie actors much at all. I am trying to base my stuff on a combination of description from the books and my own imagination.
While I like both Rupert Grint and Tom Felton in their roles, they only partially resemble the characters as written. In the books, Ron is decribed as having a long face and a long nose, while Draco is said to have a pointy face. So that was more my criteria in developing the characters in this manip.
As for Harry, I needed a face with some mystery and quiet confidence (a guy can't look too sweet whilst naked and holding his package), so that was my criteria for that choice. Also, in this manip, it's five years on from Voldie's defeat, Harry's scar has faded and - as happens as we get older - moved more toward his hairline. It's there, barely.
One more thing...you will never see me use Emma Watson for Hermione. For me, she doesn't resemble her in any way. And to date, I have not depicted Hermione as a girl, only as a woman.
Again, thank you so much for commenting - and I really appreciate your question!

Hm, I definitely see your point. I guess it was just that they don't really look like what I'd imagined. I actually saw the first two movies before I read the books (bad me) so even though I'm not always completely happy with the way the actors look and have slightly different images in my mind, the actors still have a large place in my mind.
I really like your Snapes (and your Hermiones're good too), but Alan Rickman's Snape will always have a special place in my heart (even with the very un-snape like tummy he's gotten).
Anyway, I really like this manip and the texts are so very good to. (One more question though - are they all aurors, they're so very well built?)
Thanks for taking the time to answer me :-D.

Oh me too, hon! I have adored Alan forevah! Oh that naughy Sheriff of Nottingham! Yum! My absolute favorite Snape manips and drawings, those by the incomparable Marquise*, use Alan as the source image or inspiration while making him younger and more virile. THAT is the perfect image of Snape for me! However, I will never limit myself to just an Alan-esque Snape (nor does Marquise, for the record), when doing manips...or I wouldn't get very far, and I'd be missing out on some other fabulously Snapey faces!
One more question though - are they all aurors, they're so very well built?
Could be aurors! I guess that's kind of up to you to decide in your own imagination. They're definitely gym buddies...and they do sport rather suggestive tan lines....so......
That's all I'm saying! *wink*
* If anyone knows of a current link to Marquise's work - I'd love to provide one here.

I love how they're barely covering themselves, LOL! So we get to see a bit of hair 'down there.' Shmexy!
At first, I was like, but where are Harry's glasses? And then I thought, he took them off. And the thought of him taking them off is kinda... OMG, is it hot? I think it is! Wait a sec! I do not find Harry Potter hot! *GASP* I think I do! I think the thought of him reaching up to take them off is...
Oh no. Think about Snape, think about Snape...

Hee! Thank you!!
Yes, I thought I showed great restraint in choosing images with "coverage" - coulda gone for the full monty, after all! Like you, I find it quite sexy to see just a hint of the bits.
Not to worry, my dear, we've all enjoyed a little Harry smut from time to time. Draco has his moments. Poor Ron. Though I do think he's rather dishy in this image! *gg* I tried to keep Ron all soft and Draco all sharp in their demeanors, with Harry mostly just mysterious.
Yes, Harry took off his glasses for the picture...though I can see that I really missed an opportunity by not having them dangle from his naughty bits blocking hands. Should have done - that would have been perfect! Damn!
Perhaps you should be my art Beta, LB - right now, only my husband sees these things before they go to press, and he's a lousy Beta. I believe his pithy response to this manip was "They're so gay!"
*roll eyes*
Thank you for your comments, my love! I really need some Snape time now!!
