If I may crit without offending - All you had to do to make this pop is drop some blue into the crevices and into that hot left corner that's begging to be cooled off. Hue+value+temperature. Can't neglect temperature.

lol yeah tell me about it, they are not easy thats for sure, I think I am starting to see the that mixng up a string and painting like so is much better for teaching me how to use colour better....always learnin!!

Nice! Love the deep shades and high contrast. The inner petals seem very well planned compared with the original image. I like the highlights on the tip of the rose and the way you tapered it off at the bottom. Good one!

yep! Going west young man! just went Thru Texas, Oklahoma, today we cross over into New Mexico... a beautiful ride. Traded my Audi in for a cute little Kia Soul... Alien Green [link] for this trip. So far a fantastic little buzz box for a road trip!

a woman at the office has one! I was talking to her about it yesterday, I've ridden in it many times and just yesterday figured out it was called a soul. Her's is the dark green with the white stripes.
