There's something I really like about Haruhi and Nagato having a little one-on-one conversation like this, so I had a lot of fun making this one.Hope everyone's having a lovely August!

I've been putting off commenting on this because it's one of my favorites of yours. The whole tone is just perfect for the concept. The girls both look so soft and relaxed, just ordinary young ladies in very comfortable kimonos. The little details make them feel very flesh and blood, and the cloth of their kimonos lays over them so naturally. You feel like you could reach out and squeeze one of their shoulders. The way they look, the evening darkness, and how they're laid out on on the carpet of grass makes the perfect setting for Haruhi's reflective question. A beautiful image of the two girls in a companionable moment.
