Once while I was playing, I encountered a total of twelve Yiga (in different places), including blademasters and cloaked footsoldiers.
I won.
Also, I tried to bribe them not to kill Link with bananas.

As of that day, my total number of Yiga defeated, including Kogha, is about thirty.

Update: Count increased to 38. Two of the blademasters drowned themselves because we fought near water.
I also went back to their hideout. It was empty.

Yeah after you beat Kogha they leave their base. But there is a Yiga camp the you can find somewhere in Hyrule!

UPDATE: Kill count increased to 45. One blademaster saved himself from drowning. Recently I fought another blademaster near Satori Mountain.
In a lightning storm.
Naturally, I won that battle.

They're still terrifying even later in the game! I actually survived going to Hyrule Castle Town ruins. Twice.

XD! The first time I encountered one I was trying to show off in front of my friend and fight one with a traveler's sword and a pot lid...did not go well

Yeah, but he shot two beams at me, the first one I parried but it exploded and he shot the second one immediately after the first so there was nothing that I could do.
