What color you prefer is a matter of taste, but as far as Samus blonde hair being "canon" goes, if you accept the original Metroid as canon, Samus actually had green hair at one point (at least when wearing the Varia suit).

Nintendo made her blonde for the majority of games.
And it makes sense as well, as blonde hair is easy to dye, you can easily assume Samus went through a green hair phase in her early games.

I don't think Nintendo will ever make another Ice climbers or Rag Racer game tbh. Kid Icarus and F-Zero potentially, but I definitely see them making another Star Fox game. Sadly these titles are not anything the Nintendo would focus on heavily like Mario, Zelda, or even Kirby.Β

Yeah, bit there has to be a level of want by gamers. I don't think a lot of people even know about Ice Limbers or Rag Racer. Nintendo could try and release new games bit there is no surefire way to know of anybody would buy them, so its kinda risky. I honestly think Nintendo is going to reboot Star Fox and F-Zero.
