Description
Rhovanion - the section of map where Mirkwood is (Mirkwood is where our lovely elf Legolas hails from). Also in this section, the Iron Hills, the Sea of Rhun, part of the Misty Mountains, Lorien and Rhudaur among others.

This drawing took 2 hours from outline to inking and it was the best 2 hours I've ever spent on the map series. This is my 5th drawing of the series and done yesterday when I was all pumped up to draw.

This map was also the most enjoyable as every single part of the drawing turned out the way I wanted it to - and the fact that there are no coastlines/sea contours to draw, I was a happy camper! In this drawing I also learned the technique to ink the mountains in the least amount of time but with the most quality.

This is by far my best work although the paper wasn't the greatest because there was a smudge of ink left from the previous drawing that leaked through. My paper isn't very good.
