Description
Here's a pic I recently did for an up-coming signing.I was a bit pushed for time so I had to re-"Master"
an old Delgado picture I did some time ago.
Pencil, ink and digital colour.
Hope you like.

Brilliant image! Did you use a photo reference, or is it all hand-drawn and then digitally coloured?

I have very deeply embedded memories of this episode. Largely that evil teddy bear thingy, the plastic flowers, and the chair.
Never mind Jo, Colonel Masters *cough* is the character introduced in that episode that stayed with me all these years.

Thank you.
I enjoyed colouring this one. The 70s always seemed warm and sunny to me and I hoped to reflect that in the picture.

You are usually referred to as the definitive dA Doctor Who artist. Universally.

Definitive.....Really?
Surely not.
Thanks for your extremely kind words and I need them right now because Katey Manning hated the art!!!
Oh well, you can't please them all.
Thanks again.

Definitive *on dA*. Worldwide would take a bit more of a competition.
As for Katey, don't sweat it. Some people just don't get it. (Witness Christopher Eccleston)

Not even I would dare say the world.
I'd have to kill Drew Struzan, Chris Achelleos and the few hundred thousand other
more talented swine first.
Katey Manning's reaction was a bit surprising tho'.
She loved the other people on the art, but she said that she couldn't recognise herself.
And there was I, thinking it was one the best likenesses I had done for a long time.
I'm over it now and moving on

Excellent and one of my personal Pertwee faves. Love the sequence with the daffodils in the UNIT lab. Is Katy Manning coming for a signing?

Thanks.
Katy Manning, Nick courtney and a few other UNIT people will be doing a signing at the stamp centre in London, but I'm unsure when.
My favourite sequence "Terror" was the Policman's mask falling off to reveal a featurless plastic face.
Scared the hell out of me when I was young.

Classic. Sounds like fun. Wish I was closer. If Caroline John's there, say "HI" for me. She was my favorite Pertwee companion. Not enough of her. But I'm constantly rewatching Season 7.
