Description
The construction site has been chosen, Endor. My team arrived three days ago with orders to clear out approximately 62 standard Imperial parcels for the construction of a Surface to Orbit Shield Generator. This planet is lush with a very dense forest and getting the fire started was rather easy. Getting it put out was a different matter entirely. In the end we ended up burning about 16 additional parcels. The foreman said he will use them to construct a landing platform and a secondary complex entrance. While neither is necessarily needed it will make the facility itself more complete.

Military Intelligence has indicated this planet is void of any sentient lifeforms, however, Private Collins and I spotted some strange creatures along the north perimeter as we tended the flames. I could have sworn i hearD them screaming at us, but the raging inferno made it difficult to make out clearly.

No doubt if any of the civilian environmentalists got word of this operation they would put up a stink. Thankfully this is a black operation and no one knows we are here. Also, with the Empire restructuring free speech laws they would probably face arrest if they said anything negative about the Imperial Navy's operations.

My orders indicated i would be stationed here for the next 4 years. I'm not sure how i will manage the boredom honestly. Collins said he got word that we would be receiving 74-Z speeder bikes in the next shipment. If that's true i can't wait to put them to use. In this dense forest their operation would be quite the challenge.
