Description
A tutorial going over some of the concepts I try to follow when doing species and character design. It's pretty general suggestions so that it can be applied towards different types of characters.I hope you enjoy!

This is quite interesting, but I think this is more a "species" creating tutorial than a character making one. Still, a very useful and interesting set of concepts none the less~!

True, the first half is more about species and the second half was a bit more on character specific, but I felt I was getting long winded. Maybe I'll add on a bit more details towards the bottom to make it more 'character' design. Thanks for the feedback!

I always had a process for creating characters that was pretty haphazard. This tutorial really helped me organize my thoughts and ideas, thanks for this!

I'm really glad that it helped you get a bit more of an organized process. There's no 100% right way to do things, but sometimes tutorials can help inspire.

True that. Sometimes I see some characters with the oddest combinations but those aren't as bad as the ones that just use tooooo many colors. Color wheels for all!
