Got a request for this. I hope this helps! ^^
Cheetahs are really great if you're looking for a running pose! This works primarily for dragons with a longer, more flexible spine (like a cheetah). For a larger or bulkier dragon, look for a dog that has a similar body type that you want for your dragon. Large dogs don't have the flexibility of a cat so their spine is shaped differently when they run...so a heavier dragon would have the same thing going on.
Of course all dragons (especially original species) may have anatomy resembling some other creatures. However, if you want to make a design believable, go for the three joints per limb and smooth spine. No species should have two elbows or two knees or an insanely twisty, flexible spine...it's just not right. Even snakes have limits to how far they can twist their bodies!
Remember to always reference...don't trace! You don't learn anything from copying That's why you experiment by sketching out the anatomy as shown in the tutorial as lines and circles. Circles are joints and the lines connect them forming a "skeleton" on which you can sketch your design.
The blue and brown dragon is this guy hereΒ

I'm glad this helped! It's also good to reference bat or bird skeletons and look at the wings. I did that for one of my recent dragons. Ferrets are a good reference for longer bodied dragons because of their flexible bodies XD

I'm more in the reptilian style adapted for real world honestly. Four limbs instead of six, single digit wings, two part wrist joint, etc.Β
I do like your style though :3

Thanks! ^^ There are so many ways to draw dragons ^^ This is primarily for dragons with this kind of body (four limbs and bat like wings), but reptile anatomy is great as well!
