Have you ever had an awkward conversation with someone and didn't really know what to do?
I had one with . Even though we were both polite I still felt like something was unresolved.

Then I had today more or less free, so I did this because... it felt right .
I don't have an OC my own, so one from a very new friend, .
I really hope you don't mind, Earth-Pony!

So, this is Blazing Beam giving Dusky Skies a boop on the nose.
I realised a little way through this that Julian did Earth-Pony's ID pic, so they must know each other too!

In other news, this is my very first artwork with ponies in. I've wanted to do one since first coming across MLP fanart, so I'm pretty exited.
Time taken = ~2 hours preparation sketches, ~1 hr outline, ~30 mins ballpoint pen, ~ 1 hour colour pencil.
Plus a fair bit of procrastination xD.

I did an earlier series of a pony prosthetic for a friend: but this was a little different.

Anyway, I'm fairly proud of it because I got frustrated at several point along the way.
Julian why your OC so detailed?? I did separate quick sketches of Dusky's wings and face before even starting.

He did have lots of wonderfully helpful references in his gallery for her though!
Whereas my references for Blazing Beams were mostly gifts from others that I found in his favourites folder xD.
