Description
My first major attempt at drawing digitally!Well... I did this on my phone, so I don't know if that really counts.
Eventually though, I'll want to use a drawing pad. I heard those are what all the real pros are using.
This drawing ( or do I call it something else sense it was done digitally?), was to see how well I am able to encorperate all of my techniques onto the virtual canvas.
In other words, to see if I was good or bad at digital art Xp
Honestly, for a first attempt I'd say it's not bad. But there is still many room for improvement!
Alot of room for improvement. .....
A content sized worth of improvement!!!!
I decided go draw one of my OC's as the base, and managed to think up a decent color pallete.
I have to say! Coming up with original color pallets is alot harder than I thought! π

I used an app from Google play called Sketch, and I drew on it using a basic phone stylus.
I did a lot of zooming in and out to make sure everything was as good as it could be

This is absolutely phenomenal! How the heck you managed this on a phone with this only being your first time I'll never know.
Also, the pose and colours are amazing, and I agree that choosing a good colour palette can be hard; that's why I usually go for trial and error.
If all else fails, just remember that colour theory still exists and that nature comes up with some of the best colour schemes.

I think I managed to pull a decent job because I used a drawing pen, and it's honestly like I'm drawing on a small piece of paper, so the traditional feel is kind of there!
Also, I'm really good at drawing small! That's my best method of developing my own poses
There was alot of trial and error! Especially for my colors! But I felt like I needed to leave my insecurities, and just go wild with my colors until something good popped out!

Yeah, if ever in doubt, just keep trying until something works. After all there are thousands of colours so some combination is bound to work.
But yeah, some animals and plants have interesting colours. I mean, somehow nature can pull off sticking red and green next to each other, and I'm sure we can both agree that that's a feat in itself. And hey, even if nature doesn't help, there's still inspiration all around you.

I love how her armor looks chunky! Makes her seem considerably heavy and tank-like which is perfect.

I think I did good on the phone because I used a touchscreen pen, and motion is similar to drawing on a small piece of paper, and I'm actually good at drawing small things!

Hopefully I can try a drawing pad soon and see how well I can do with that!

I actually didn't really think too much about Commando Man and Battalion when designing her, despite the resembling features!
I simply came up with the idea of a militaristic robot master, that uses a grenade launcher for a buster.
Commando Man had slipped my mind!
I actually referenced more of Cammy from Street fighter if anything!
