I had the idea of Miyazaki characters having Pokemon companions for a while now, so here it is!Third in the series is San from Princess Mononoke and Arcanine :>

You want to make Miyazaki OR Ghibli with Pokemon crossovers? Let me guess/help:
Nausica with large Venipede.
Ashitaka with Gogoat, being healed by Xerneas
Kiki with Umbreon.
Chihiro with Rayquaza. Then again, it's been done. Maybe a Yamask, a Muk, a Jinx (the witch) and a Politoad. Or the elevator scene with an tall, fat Gloom.
Wailord in Kujiratori.
Gina with Grumpig.
Pazu and Sheeta with Golurk.
Seita with Volbeat/Illumise. Oh, and a stray Yanma for fun.
Mei and Satsuki with Minccino, Shiny Munchlax, and Snorlax.
Zigzagoon and Sentret as the Pom Poko.
Persian as Baron. With a Purrloin as the black cat, Lune?
Litwik as Calcifer.
Luvdisc as Ponyo and her sisters who become Alomomola during the chase.

... I really want something done for Ronya, but I can't think of anything that really works...

Studio Ghibli had a co-op series based on Ronya the Robber's Daughter. You can watch it at watchcartoononline, called Sanzoku no Musume Ronja.
Maybe they can get Ponyta during episode 14. Or Fearow/Mandibuzz for the Harpy during 10. Or Snorunt for Rumphobs in 9. Or the Grey Dwarfs in 3 can be ghosts, like Sableye or small Duskull. Or another ghost for the Will-o-the-Wisps, episode 7. Or be funny and make it so that the rocks covering the underground passage are Geodudes/Crustle who don't want to be moved.

Another thing, not quite Pokemon. Remember Anime Gym Leader Sabrina, her doll house of tiny people? Maybe have her shrink Shawn/Sho and have him join Arrietty in her dollhouse.

Arrietty... Did you ever think that Spiller kind of looks like a Sandy Cloak Burmy with his leaf cloak? I'll have to watch Arrietty again to think of others.
(Before watching). Well, Arrietty and her family are about 4 inches tall. That's the same size as Flabebe and Joltik (who we want to use as sootballs in Spirited Away). Is there a flower scene for Arrietty? Or can they use Flabebe as a floating elevator instead of wires?
(Watching minutes during spare time). Crow attack. Murkrow? Also, the cat reminds me of Glameow/Purugly.
