In December all I wanted to do was draw Rey, Finn, and Poe. Despite my issues with the film, I still had a great time watching it, and I adored that characters (the most important part of any Star Wars films...)I wanted to do a quickie Manga-ize version of the three before I moved onto bigger pieces.Β
Oh, and yes. I'm a total Boyega hipster. I LIKED HIM BEFORE HE WAS COOL, OK!? Just rewatched Attack the Block. Just as awesome as the first time.

I had my issues with it (most of all being a direct retelling of a New Hope) But ultimately it's use of on location shooting, practical effects, and the characters being absolutely charming won me over. I had fun with it. There were some scenes that took me out of the magic that I wish weren't there (Cg tentacle monster.) And I wish Captain Phasma had more to do. Seriously, she's so badass looking.
