Too bad, I wonder why...
For my part, I was eager to see some for real and I have been very happy to see these ones. They were resting high on wires though but it has made my day.
Thank you!

My general feeling is that we have lost many small birds, but if it is so, i'm not sure(I could speculate, though...). When I'm out photographing then I use to record the sounds I hear! There seems on the recordings, many times there are a few that is more common!

Oh, you lost many small birds?
It would be interesting to know why, they are so beautiful and very important as well for nature.
Five years ago, a strange thing has happened at the country cottage: From the beginning of July to September, we didn't see a bird, none! It was quite sad and kind of scary. I asked of course but nobody seemed to care about it in the Environment Ministry.

Hey dear Jocelyne!
I don't know how much that so called birdflue has to do with it, then we have Chernobyl and the fact that in southern europe they eat them in big quantities. All factors, I guess!
And now we have this vulcano on Iceland, that might be a problem for birds!
In many parts of northern sweden mosquitos have become a hugh problem, so much, so time to time there livestock and people have to be indoors. With this springflood that they have(with flooding), I guess that will increase even more!
