First you must call them: easy, just whistle 2 notes, D and C (one tone if you know music). If you don't know how to call, wait for them, put sunflower seeds on your hand and get your camera ready on the other hand. Wait a few minutes and they should come.
But they are fast, the issue is to get a neat photo. So, be patient...
They are very friendly, not shy but confident.

I never tried it with hummingbirds. Chickadees are very friendly. I call them (easy to imitate their cry) and I wait... They come and run away so fast, not easy to take a shot.
