Now, I'm sure you're all thinking WTF!? now, but allow me explain.

This is my entry for 's contest [link] . The goal of the contest being to create a crossover piece featuring characters from two different stories. I used Angel Dumott Schunard from "Rent" and Riza Hawkeye from "Fullmetal Alchemist. Why? Well, he did say to be creative! ^_^

I came up with the idea only recently when I was talking to someone about my own story "Rain" and how I was going in a new direction with the writing ([link] ). I started to tell about the original version and how it was "like an unholy love-child between Fullmetal Alchemist and Rent - it was a complex fantasy adventure with lots of GLBT characters". At the time, my statement was only meant as a joke, but sure enough, it DID seem like a unique idea for the contest.

Originally, I was going to use Edward to represent Fullmetal Alchemist, but I opted for Hawkeye for a number of reasons. The most of which because I really wanted to see the look on Roy's face... and it's priceless. Roy Mustang is also joined by Ed and Havoc who are taking great pleasure in Roy's dismay (Ed will enjoy any misfortune Roy suffers, and Havoc likely views this as payback for all the potential dates he'd stolen from him).

Angel to represent Rent was an easy choice though; she was my favorite character. But if I put other FMA characters in the barckground on Hawkeye's side, it was only fair to include other Rent characters too. Poor Collins is terribly distraught and confused about Angel's change of heart. He's joined by Mark and Roger who are at least trying to condole him.

I'd like to conclude by saying that while I did draw this, it was mostly just me being silly. I don't really see this pairing actually working out. Like, at all. But it was a lot of fun to draw, that's for sure. So I hope it's fun for you all to see! ^_^
