Created using Corel Painter 18. 14 hour painting. My contribution to Mermay.ΒI got the idea for this after the amazing Ogrefairy drew a mermaid inspired by my last mermaid, and the mermaid chain just keeps a going. If you don't follow her, you really should.
I'm also realized I took inspiration from one of my favorite toy as a kid, Sea Wees, who had adorable mer-pets.Β
The starfield background was created by zummerfish and offered as stock.
