Description
Thanks to Fred Savage and my new work schedule, this page is conspicuously late. I was a bit worried after inks because there isn't a lot of technically flashy stuff on the page, but the colors seemed to cooperate for once... either that or reality hasn't set in yet.As usual, please let me know what your favorite panel is, what your least favorite panel is, and what your favorite dialogue is.

I just found this comic, and I pretty much like it, but since there is nothing more of it here, I have to ask: is this the final page of the comic (and as far as I can tell, the website appears to be busted)?

Jade's leg seems a bit bent forward, but then again it is anatomically possible and an illusion for conventional poses.

Very nice. Lots of humor in this page, especially that second panel and all the facial expressions too. BTW, Emerald's outfit is very hot. Let's Begin.
Panel 1 Very cute artwork with the old master who is quite a bit shorter than Jade. Not too much to say as it sets up for the shot in panel two.
Panel 2 I think you put a lot of focus into this. The idea of this being mostly her imagination is pretty funny. When I first saw this page, I thought for a moment she might be air-guitaring. Man, that kick is high and that mini-skirt is just barely hiding anything! My major gripe on this page is that she is too cropped at places she should not be. The end of her foot and her right arm really should not be cropped. My major nitpick.
Panel 3 My favorite panel. Everyone's facial expressions are speaking volumes. Emerald looks great. Saphire is hilarious and even the master's look is great. Very nice.
Panel 4 Also very nice. I really like the different pose and the expression on Saph. It is obvious you are trying hard there on your expressions. It is a good thing and it adds a lot.
Panel 5 Nice way to have all the students flipping in for that classic feel. Tough to do as well.
Dialogue: All the dialogue was good. Nothing sounded out of place or unnecessary. Is the master some old pervert? I hope so as that would be kind of funny.
Story: I'm curious why Jade was so adamant to avoid Japan and now she seems to be very happy to be back. That is good. I do wonder a little as to how the girls got to this location. Last page saw the boy informing his master that Jade had returned and now they are here. It is a little unclear to me how this happened. The transition to this page is a little difficult for me is what I'm saying. That's all.
Looking good, I can see you trying some new things in this page. I have lots of questions about what is going on and I hope to find out more soon!

Thanks for your comments, Egg! I'm glad you enjoyed the page because I was frankly quite nervous. I made some mistakes with anatomy and dialogue balloons and I didn't plan things out very well in terms of where I would put the wording. There is a bit of a wrinkle between the last page and this one- something symptomatic of this whole issue, I'm afraid, as we tried to write a pretty elaborate story for it and got trapped by its length.
Perhaps the most innovative part of the page, I thought, was panel 2 and its wacky background. I tried a lot of different things and sort of worked my way toward its current look. I'm glad folks seem to be enjoying it.
As for Jade, she's currently in good spirits because she's probably with the only person in Japan who knows her and still likes her- to a degree. As you'll soon discover, that won't last...

Ah, see I was thinking that the master here was why she did not want to return to Japan. I'm really curious as to what her master has to do with the story and why you chose to feature him.

I think Sapphire and Emerald's reactions (especially Sapph's) to Jade's bragging is certainly my favorite panel
Neat show of the other students flipping in on the last panel; quite reminiscent of classic wuxia flicks (which, after all, this story is partially based upon).
I really like how the textures on the grass and shrubs in the background came out, too. And the use of color in panel two's background is perfect.

The panel with Emerald and Sapphire's expressions is just classic.
Jade's leg in the second panel looks like her knee is overextended. O_o

Thanks for the comment! I also like how Sapphire's expression turned out. I sort of want to impart that just because she's the team leader doesn't mean she's an emotional robot.
