I've heard Winnipeg is the windiest and coldest city in Canada but I have heard that in every city we've been too. I have never seen it as bad as the East Coast where I spent over 30 years on the ocean and have seen a lot of weather. 
Every storm is rain turning to snow then cold or snow changing to rain. Its always a mess and ends up in pure ice everywhere. We would get 3 feet and more with drifting to 10 feet.
Out here its colder but no wind. Although they say there is here but I doubt it. And wind in the East is like 50-80 MPH
I expect a day in the park

The year before last was the coldest Winter I can recall for quite a while,it probably hit -20 at some times,it was -13 when I took this then [link] and looked and felt every minus degree of it

Well I find its not bad till about -35 cause that's about when the vehicle's won't start without a block heater. So it sucks to go to work sometimes. The fuel injected ones will just flood and never run till they go to a garage to get an oil change and by then it worms up in the shop and will start again. For about a month you need to keep them plugged in if you want to go anywhere in that month
