Manitoba Legislative Building (Click to see full view or click "Download Image" to the right').The Legislative Building was formally opened on July 15, 1920, the 50th anniversary of Manitobaβs entry into Confederation. It was designed in 1912 by English architects Frank W. Simon and Henry Boddington III who won a British Empire competition over 66 other entries. The paramount example of Beaux-Arts Classical architecture in the province, the building is sheathed in Manitoba Tyndall limestone and is adorned with many allegorical works of art celebrating wisdom, justice, and courage. The Golden Boy atop the dome is symbolic of Manitobaβs eternal youth and progress.

OMG Doug! This photo just scored me a job as the Official Manitoba Liberal Party Photographer!
I just got the official word. Next week I go to photograph a man in the running for the Liberal Party Leadership for Manitoba. He said even if he doesn't get it there are 57 other guys will be wanting a turn with me as well for a photoshoot over the next year and a half.
I don't know man but this has to be good news. Although I will be a long time accepting its real. I'm excited though. I sure hope it goes well!

I have a 30 inch monitor and in full view I only see about a third of it. Its huge.

Seriously...I like the crop of just the steps and about a third of the columns.

I wanted to crop up about the second step from the bottom cause the bottom one is a bit out of focus. I also cropped a lot off the top to give it a more dramatic effect. Then I thought its nice to see where the steps end and if someone ever wants it printed then it can easily be cropped
5 minutes after I posted this to twitter one of the candidates for head of the Liberal Govt of Manitoba messaged me and said he's been watching my work for a while. He said he wants something different to roll with for a photoshoot. He wants me

I had to tell him I really don't have the gear for what he wants and I have zip for skills with photographing people
