One of the pieces of art I'm doing for the revised edition of the tabletop RPG, Supers! You might have seen the Kickstarter project that's funding it. It's being put out by Hazard Studios.For this piece, one of two, a hulking brute was supposed to be whacking a hero with an I-beam. The shield-swinging hero was only described as not having a flag costume.

I was a backer of the SUPERS Revised EDition rpg Kickstarter and I'm eager see the finished product. I've really enjoyed the samples of the art you've provided for it and I'm really looking forward to getting this book when its printed.

I really like the dynamics of this image. Its interesting that your 'hulking brute' has has enough style cues to suggest Marvel's Hulk while still standing out as his own character.

That was the idea. I wanted a Hulk, but with a less savage look. I usually think up a back-story, while I'm drawing stuff like this, but for these guys, I didn't really come up with anything.
