Description
So I wanted to do something seasonal.Nothing says Christmas like red, green, and gold, right? Anyway, this sort've takes place on Christmas Eve, in Manhattan.

Ok, so, I like the cartoon-ish appearence of it, I wouldn't mind a good cartoon of teh originals. Also, I like that you've stayed with the more movie inspired Power Suits, I've always thought they were the coolest(and it's your own versoin of them, too, nicely original), and were far more thought out.
Very iconic of those two to be there alone! They did this too often for their own good, and the scene fits their personality perfectly. The snow is pretty cool (no pun inended, though I'll take the onne that showed up), the skillful, clearly thought out blurring gives a very authentic sense of motion and depth.
The puddies are just cool. Very ominous, with their steaming eyes in the cold, shadowey darness of the night...
There's a clear attention to detail, as can be seen in the near perfect representation of their helmets and weapons.
I also like that you've put them into a bigger city setting. It really makes a LOT more sense for them to be chosen to guard the planet from a major city where they can be more discreet, a smaller percent of the population knows them personally, it's easier to dissapear, heck, it's even plausable to suggest that they could get lost. the list of reasons just goes on.
Good choice of colors, too. Good gold can be hard to find a base for, especially when using flat colors, since the base is what you see the most of. I've never been a fan of flat coloring, mostly just due to its over use, but something like this almost HAS to be done that way, and is just makes it that much harder to find the right colors.
Like I said (if I said it... can't rightly remember now), very well done!

Thanks so much for such an in-depth and articulate observation! I agree with just about everything you said, and much of what you mentioned has been part of my thought process when approaching these personalized Power Ranger pieces I've been doing over the years. I definitely agree that they need to be protecting a city, while staying true to the original roots (hence the pairing).
