Commish for !Described by him:
"The Scenario:
Jedis Barriss Offee and Ahsoka Tano are trapped on a ledge or a cliff. Barriss is holding on for dear life with one hand on a weak branch or rusty piece of metal. She holds a wounded Ahsoka with the other hand.
The commission is a bird's eye view of the two struggling to not fall into a dark pit that hints at a horrible monster within (Maybe with glowing eyes or a large mouth that appears from the darkness of the pit)
The horror of the situation is that Ahsoka's free arm is bloody and wounded, and that Barriss is losing her grip on the cliff. Ahsoka looks up at Barriss and suggests she just "Let Go" of her, which makes for a dramatic moment
The title of the piece is 'You go, WE go...' "

Commissions Are Finally Open!Hey, all!
I'm happy to announce for the first time in almost a year (but the first time in 2013!) that I'll finally be opening commission slots again! A heads-up as I'm juggling quite a few big paid projects all at once that it will take me some time to get through them, but I'm only accepting 15 slots for this round. Also, there is NO GUARANTEE I'LL BE ABLE TO OPEN AGAIN BEFORE CHRISTMAS! So if you'd like to commission art as a gift for the holiday's, I'd say do it now to be safe! BUT I'll also be selling prints soon!
Anyway, thank you all SO much for your constant support. I don't get to tell you all how much I appreciate your part in letting me do what I do for a living. I feel truly blessed and it's thanks to you guys that I get to call myself a freelance artist. But enough mushy nonsense! Onto the rates:

My respect for Barriss dropped when she bombed the Temple and made Ahsoka not return to the order DX

Ditto that, but honestly, I wasn't a fan of that. It's out of Barriss' character. That was really the only time I had a problem with the show's writing.

In all honesty, SonicXAnimefan, I like doing these positive Barriss/Ahsoka commissions because I choose to keep the friendship alive, With respect to Lucas/Filoni canon. I respectfully accept this is what Filoni chose for Barriss to be for his canon, but she has been my hero since the Medstar novels came out in 2005 (Long before TCW existed), so I choose to disregard Lucas canon
A lot of Barriss fans were devastated, me included, so I commission positive art because fans deserve to have something after the show's cancellation, and because I'm not going to let season 5 tarnish my hero.

I can see the true Star Wars fan strongest in you. Is there anything in TCW that remains canon to the prequel trilogy, or are they all unrelated?

Well, there were other changes TCW made from the movies and comics and novels, but I've usually been able to handle the changes. I would not call myself a die hard purist, but some changes made me uncomfortable.
Ventress was originally Rattatakian, TCW made her Dathomirian, not a big deal
Eeth Koth was killed in AotC, TCW brought him back to life just because they could do what they wanted, again, not a big deal
Even Piell was not supposed to die until after Order 66, TCW killed him in the Clone War
Changes to Mandalore bothered fans of mandolorians, didn't effect me
Darth Maul was killed in Phantom Menace, TCW brings him back, and this where I get a little uncomfortable, but I let it slide.
I could handle a lot, even Midichlorians, but the Barriss Offee plot twist, that was where I just couldn't let it go. I'm not angry or fanboy crazy. I just cannot accept this one last thing they did. She was my favorite Jedi from reading older pre-clone war novels, but rather than get angry on forums, I do art commissions that keep the friendship alive. It's nicer to do rather than rant and shout on forums.

I see. Another change was Adi Gallia dies by General Grievous, instead, TCW has her killed by Maul and Savage

True. I suppose they wanted to streamline the EU, and that's fine. Lucas and Filoni have a right to make these changes, and I won't argue it, but after Barriss Offee's fate has been rearranged, what's next? The story of Barriss was set to end on Felucia but now it's up in the air, and there is a lot of hate for this character that I've enjoyed. What happens to Barriss Offee fans? How can I invest myself in Star Wars when they yank the rug out from under me? Are any future novels or comics safe for me to enjoy? What happens when I start enjoying characters from "Rebels" and Filoni chooses to make another traitor from one of them? Ahsoka fans have it easy, they're excited. Fans of Barriss Offee....well, we are a bit depressed.
As I was telling Blayaden a few posts down, I am ready to accept Lucas' final decisions on what happens to the characters, it's just the waiting that gets me. And until something is revealed, I will enjoy these art pieces.

I have chosen to respectfully disregard Lucas/Filoni canon, Blayden. Barriss is my Hero, so this wonderful commission by is one of my responses to season 5. I do this to give fans something more exciting and heroic than that last episode

I shouldn't make a big deal out of it. I could handle all the other changes in star wars, but this one stung for me. I can understand Filoni needed a Jedi to betray the Order and get Ahsoka to leave, he chose her to be the terrorist, even though the logic of it all just doesn't fit, and she was supposed to be destined for Order 66. He simply decided she was the best choice for this plot twist, and he has to power to make any changes he wants, but now Barriss Offee fans have been left adrift, and we get to hear other fans call Barriss horrible things and I've heard some fans say "I hope Ahsoka kills that B****" So there's a level of despair that sort of kicks me in the gut. I can accept whatever fate Lucas has in store, I just need closure to it, and while I hope for maybe a redemption story, I am prepared for the worst scenario. Until then, I am comforted by wonderful art like this. I just find it difficult to enjoy Star Wars as much when they make these changes.

I understand completely. If a character I was attached to did a sudden 180 that made NO sense in (or OUT) of context, I would be pretty upset as well.
So far, pretty much all I've watched the Clone Wars for is well... the CLONES.
Echo, Fives and Rex are my favorite characters. Having one of them go rogue (although, both Rex and Fives were seemingly going down the path of NOT obeying Order 66- or perhaps a variation? That would have been cool.) would have made me extremely upset as well... As a matter of fact, I AM upset! Echo's death was also completely out of character... but at least he didn't have the shame of being a TRAITOR. That stings.

Yes, Echo was cool. He died doing his job, and that is sad but also admirable. If they had just killed Barriss heroically, I would at least have closure and be sad for a moment, but I don't know how they are going to conclude this and that just keeps me waiting. They say Filoni is sensitive to the fans and is reasonable, and maybe he's going to pull out a spectacular story for this. I would certainly be interested in what he and Lucas have planned, though I am prepared for "Barriss faced the firing squad, The End". Time will tell, and some of us wait anxiously. When it happens, though, I will be able to move on and enjoy Star Wars a little more because there is a lot about TCW to enjoy. I just need to know what happens next.

Yeah, I feel ya. They set up a lot of character development for many characters. I really was interested in what they were planning with for Captain Rex... the Umbara arc with Fives (who has also been in since season one) really made me want to see what happened next...

Yes, The Umbara Arc was excellent, Captain Rex and Fives are awesome characters. I don't expect the special content to have all the answers, but I am curious to see what kind of final Clone war resolutions they have in store for everyone.

Forgive me for posting all over the place. I felt the need to clarify my intentions since there is a question about Barriss' motives. I personally feel it was not a good decision to do this to the character....

I like the drama, but I think Ahsoka is stronger than that. That stubborn young Togruta never give up, no matter what.

I think Barriss would use the Force to swing Ahsoka on the platform before she got herself on the platform with the help of Ahsoka, but that's my thought.

Yeah, My fault. I kind of flipped a coin to see who would be where. I think both of them would be equally suited, I just kind of placed them in that position to see how it would go. did a wonderful job.
