Simple comp test.
Added comment, 10/29/2013 - Well maybe not so simple, actually took awhile to create. It was done in Maya software with Michael Comet' muscle system (AKA mayaMuscle.) I modeled the Skeleton, then the outer skin. I tried several muscle plugins - and mostly failed - I had to simplify the original version because I made to many muscles and my computer couldn't handle it. So I ended up using cMuscle with just these general massive shapes that work under the skin to jiggle and slide under the skin. I did the rigging, cause that's just another thing I do. I created a bunch of walk/run cycles to learn and test out how to improve the rig/skin.
Well there ya go - A T.rex! I'm glad I did it.
Added comment 10/30/13 I thought I could read/reply to all the comments people made, very very nice! Thanks, I will keep trying...Now it's gone up to 31 pages though.
Please don't be mad if I missed you
It was made with Maya software you can have a free version of the rig here >>> joel3d.com/TrexSkeletonRig.htm⦠<<< skeleton only
11/01/13 THANK YOU for all the comments! I can't keep up, I hope you understand.

LOL - you could use it for a music video. He makes 16 steps per growl and does the chewing after eight steps. Would be perfect, if you could find a song with a normal 4/4 beat - and you could even let him sing something
Very interesting concept and well animated ^^
I like your approach, as it is said, dinosaurs evolved from birds: a modern predator usually would not move the head while running, while the body works as some sort of gyro-stabililzer. Some birds do move their heads while running - e.g. chicken. Well observed and well transported to the medium. A well deserved DD

I agree, its not just you, I can't tell if it has more than 2 fingers as well, its probably just those circles, they are in the way and make it look like he/she has 3 fingers.

This is really really cool! I'm fascinated with how animals (or dinosaurs) work and how they move. You did a really wonderful job animating this fellow.Β
