There's a little clipping with the thigh and torso. Overall great work!

When the skin disappears and it's just the muscle and bones it looks like Deadpool's dinosaur. DEADSAURUS! Lmao

T-rex has been found to be able to run, based on updated information on its musculature.

I probably would have looked something similar to this, maybe faster by only a little, and that's probably dependent on what T. Rex was trying to achieve (stealth, speed, maybe just a nice jog). Ostriches, a two-legged creature, run on two legs alternating back and forth. I can't imagine a meaty beast like T. Rex would have ran like a kangaroo at its top speed.

Looks to me like he has no weight, the animation is too clean, but that may be just me...

I love the thought process in using muscles in the areas they count and the general fluidity of the whole construct in design and movement. That's something I'd love to get myself to the point of doing with animation and design.
As fernhw mentioned below it does feel a little too light for the animal and a little too stiff for a running animation. I know the render was made more to focus on how the jiggling work, but I think it would be more believable if you made the motions heavier, and the chest bobbing up and down with each step as I get the impression it's trying to mimic an avian with a much shorter torso (and a giant keel bone for all those muscles to power the wings! That greatly reduces mobility.) instead of countering its own weight. I think if you delayed the arm bobbing with the steps it would make it look more like teeny appendages and not an attempt to power-push on a jog! I can certainly see this kind of running for a smaller theropod or dromeosaur though.

Your rigging is great but the animation itself has no weight, I would focus on that.

This is purely beautiful. I love the smooth and completely natural motions, and the skin colors are very realistic. I'm rather curious how he would look covered in a handsome coat of feathers (yes, as a student paleontologist, T. Rex was indeed covered in feathers, as evidenced by recently discovered fossil imprints). No matter his covering, he is a beautiful beast! I am in awe!

Those are just digital muscles to emulate jiggle in those areas from each step. I don't think it's trying to emulate it's entire actual muscle structure.

Nice job. He looks a little light on his feet. Maybe a bit more impact settle and rethrust to get moving again, but really good work.

This is a great work! Maybe it needs more head movement to look more like a bird than a lizard (although I think nobody knows for sure how far was the T-Rex from the raptors which evolved to birds and if they did need to move their heads like birds do today), but that's just my opinion.
Are those primitive feathers on it's back and tail? They're looking very good!

Skinning is everyone's biggest complaint - There are ways to adjust it. And yeah getting the right amount definitely helps
This is a muscle system attached to the rig...IK-FK-SplineIK, all of those...Arggg too many questions
thank you, I'm glad you like it!

hi, this rig is impressive. Β i tried in 3ds max to do some rigging but it ended up useless as the skinning wasn't right. but i don't really know what the problem. As i see your work i can see my skeleton was too simple. but i would like to ask you, is the skinning always a hell to do or does it become simple as the skeleton become better?
I can see every piece of bone is moving on its own between the controllers, how did you do that? is that some interpolation between 2 ctrls or is Β it some kind of IKspline?
is your setup entirely using IK or is there some FK part?
Hope you'll find some time to answer, anyway, i love your works....Β

Actually, compared to other large theropods, Tyrannosaurus was surprisingly more built for speed. And a little bit of paleo feedback:
-The hands are positioned wrong, they should be facing each other
-T. rex had a barrel chest
Other than that, not bad anatomically.
