Hi Everyone,
Worldbuilding time! Here is a Byzantine warrior from Armenian descent. Both countries were allied in the dark ages and there were even Armenian Byzantine Emperors around 900 AD.
With this design i wanted to do something a bit different from my previous Byzantine Cataphract, who was leaning more towards Western European apparel. For this design I was heavily inspired by ancient Greek, Persian and Urartu (ancient Armenian) armor sets. Mostly the helmet, shield and sword.
Any knowledge about ancient Armenian culture? Looking forward to learn from you.

I always like depictions of warriors from more obscure locations- maybe you could try some from finnic, Samoyedic, baltic, Caucasian, tungusic, paleo-siberian, Ainu, Basque, Ryukyuan, or Burushaski peoples?

Ever since I’ve read a book about how basques learned shipcraft from the vikings and according to the arthur of Cod:a world history, basque ships were all over hudson bay according to english & french contemporary writers before hudson himself even discovered it. This makes for a very interesting scenes of basque contact with the new-world after the vikings but before ( or at least during) columbus, ( basque didn’t keep records of their fishing maps as other fishermen could steal it). Considering both basque & vikings, & polynesians( who hit the new-world in peru judging by how sweet potatoes came to melenasia & papua new guinea, & load words & similar naval craft between a polynesian groups & a native American group in California according to the smithsonian). You know how french fur-trappers combined native and french clothing? Polynesian-native american mixes, basque- iroquian/algic/beothuk/eskimo-aleut mixes would be freaking awesome.
