Happy to share another painting for my worldbuilding! A Saka horselord from the Eurasian steppes, brandishing a meteorite waraxe.

Painting this piece challenged me balance the plethora of different textures and materials, as well as playing around with more intense colors.

Kissar, the Gilded Stag

In the far east of Mesopotamia, the Turko-Iranian Scythian horselords emerge from a golden cloud of sand, devouring man and animal in their way, resulting in one of thr many great migrations to come. The Saka caste of is considered the mightiest of the horselords, their spoils of war reflecting in their leather armor adorned with golden ornaments, humbling even the greatest kings in the region.
