I would like to present you with more worldbuilding material.
A Khitan Warrior. The Khitans were the ancestors of the Mongol Hordes. They lived 400 years before the rise of Genghis Khan, already challenging the greatest empire in the world; The Chinese Tang Dynasty.

While the Khitan War Machine has yet to reach its full potential in terms of weaponry, armor and army composition, the rampaging hordes of east Asia are making a name for themselves as the deadliest horse archers in the world.
