What do you know about the Horselords of the Steppes and the Amazones?
New personal painting! The Ancient Greeks wrote about female horselords called the Amazones, dominating the steppes. While the Amazones horde collapsed, their descendants obtained positions of power within Turkic Tribes in the Dark Ages.
Here we have a Bulgar Khatun (female Khan) leading her horde into battle.
