Thank you, I really love Carrara. It has so many things DAZ Studio doesn't. The sky and terains are great, the surface replicator is so versatile. I just wish DAZ wouldn't have abandoned it

I know quite a few people who feel the same way. Although, I have never tried Carrara I do know many people who will use nothing else! 
Stezza for one over at HiveWire 3D does incredible work with it!!

I just wish they would add Iray support. People have made add on to keep it alive with genesis 3 support and LUX rendering. Maybe they will sell it to someone who will do something with it

DAZ doesn't seem to care. The Carrara forum is full of people pleading and trying to justify that there is a demand. It really makes me want to abandon DAZ. Carrara is so much better than DAZ Studio and they let it die. (sorry I rant, but it really bugs me)

Wow, this is a really an amazing and superb seascape ! The sea surface looks ultra-realistic and the reflection of the warm light of the sun and of those gilded clouds is phenomenal ! The ships also look very realistic !

So you didnt have to blend nothing to get the water to look the way it does? I mean I have lots of water planes and even water surfaces, but still the water effects dont come close to realism.

The water is a built in object in Carrara. It has a lot of built in objects such as hair, fire, fog, clouds, trees. I love Carrara, it works great with all my existing DAZ and Poser content. Unfortunately DAZ seems to have forgotten about it and haven't updated it in several years

They are doing the same shit to Poser too, killing it off with Genesis, that's why I hate them. I don't feel like throwing money at new stuff, Poser would be a lot better if it had some of the stuff that Daz is getting, like better wet skin effects. I swear Genesis has like 8 different ways to make realistic wet skin on figures, yet poser has nothing like this at all.
So every time I visit the Daz site and even Renderosity, I see a lot of Genesis stuff these days.

Genesis was one of my motivation to switch from Poser to DAZ Studio (and that DAZ Studio is Free). I was still able to use all the old Poser content I had. That's why I also loved Carrara, it allowed all my Poser content to still be used as well as use Genesis 1 & 2 figures. I just made the leap to Genesis 3 figures and love them. Unfortunately Carrara doesn't support them or Iray.At least it does have plug-un to use Lux rendering

Yeah I dont want to be using all those different figures. If I was going to switch, I'll stay away from Gen 1 and Gen 2 and will just jump to Gen 3 instead. But I mean they have all those base models costing a fortune.
