Description Another experiment with Reality 2.5 and DAZ Studio 4.6
I wasn't happy with the light in the last render, so I started from scratch with the FOG object in LUX.
I think the result is much improved, and easier to create.  No Photoshop other than levels and colors.

See a stereoscopic 3D version on 3dvisionlive.com here!
Thanks for looking.

For a first attempt Joe, I think you are a natural, at using the fog effects to create this type of lighting. I would be very happy, if I got a similar result, with one of my artworks. Lighting is a really tricky thing to do. So, full kudos to you! Well done! Enjoy your day!

LOVE the lighting. This is very nice. Is the only lighting coming through the windows? Is there more than one light source that allows us to see the characters without more shadows? This looks really cool.

Thank you,
I had to use a fill light otherwise everything was too dark

thefalliblefox In reply to JoePingleton [2017-01-25 03:02:54 +0000 UTC]

That's what I was thinking. Every dark pic I create is because I forget to add in extra lighting. Looks really cool & you did an amazing job of hiding the fill light. I had to ask because I wasn't sure.

JoePingleton In reply to Catweazle01 [2014-11-19 17:08:09 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, its just one spot light

Catweazle01 In reply to JoePingleton [2014-11-19 21:15:20 +0000 UTC]

a normal spotlight????????????
or a reality - version?

And this is enough for such good shadow-effects ?????
I made a lot with reality, but the light is not my friend there ... (except IBL-Light)

Sorry, I fogot I used one mesh light too. The spot was used to fill in the dark areas.

It was created by following the Reality 2 Fog tutorial at preta3d.com/video-tutorial-cre…

Awesome shot here in Lux , tried the fog prop sometimes, but it never became clear to me how it showed up in the render.

You did awesome setup here with the render , bravo

This reminds me that I need to play around with the fog/light beams too.

Very nice! I have some info in my gallery on the fog prop; my last render I rendered the fog as a separate render and then combined the two layers which gives a lot more control over the final result; all details and both renders linked to in the description. fav.me/d5ofgbe

P.S. some great renders in your gallery; will be back at lunchtime to have a browse! `¬)
