Playing some more with Echidnaean 's "ECH Jeweled Sai - Freebie " in DAZ Studio and Iray. I realized that now I had all the basic Okinawan kobudō weapons (tonfa, nunchaku, sai, kama, and bo staff). I threw in a samurai sword to make even fighting pairs. No post work

Thank you, I built a pair when I was a preteen and that led me to study martial arts a few years later. That lasted about 25 years and I was always obsessed with all the different weapons. Thank you for your feedback, I have never seen Samurai Champloo. Is it a cartoon? For some reason, I became obsessed with framing this with the figures and bridge being at the bottom of the frame with a deep view of the city in the background at the top of the frame. Probably not the best choice, but it felt interesting to me

It is still a nice scene ( and like I said, it may grow on me). Samurai Champloo, is an old Japanese Animated show (made by the people behind Cowboy Bebop). Both are excellent examples of storytelling.

I barely remember anime from the early 70's and my childhood - didn't care for speedracer at all, but enjoyed Battle of the Planets (surprised years later that The Sentinels wasn't from the same stable)
Later in my early teens I came across copies of copies of Kimagure Orange Road and was entranced - shortly after, Manga Entertainment started releasing videos in the early late 80's and early 90's.

I'll have to check it out I haven't seen much anime. The more I look at this experiment the more things bug me, but that part of the reason I do these images. Sometimes its just to learn not to do something again
