Thank you, all my earlier slime experiments stemmed from trying to get a material for this guy, Β I still think there is a problem with him, but I can't put my finger what it is

Thank you, I'm pretty sure you can't fight a slime monster with axes, he better have another plan

Very cool...does it conform or just have static poses?

Thank you, it just has three deformer controls for the body and both arms

Ah okay...so it couldn't be draped fully over a figure?

That's a great idea.Β I't might be possible to use " DynCreator for DazStudio" to convert it into dynamic cloth

I was hoping there would be a rig for the figure and was kind of disappointed there wasn't one. Β I guess I could try to add one that matches another figure. Β It might be a good lesson in learning rigging

I am still trying to learn lighting lol but you are right, the figure itself..well, with your shaders...looks great and if ti could be rigged it has so many Halloween Possibilities

Thank you, I think the shader on him is still missing something, maybe it's the wrong lighting

What you've done with the last three pieces, the slime/goo/ectoplasm, is incredibly cool - icky and horrific, but cool.

Thank you, It all started with trying to get a material that would work this model. Β Then I got distracted

winterwolf797 In reply to JoePingleton [2017-09-19 12:51:30 +0000 UTC]
Isn't that usually how it goes? Good distraction. I always wanted to do a people who turn translucent in water and their "hair" is actually a mass of tendrils kinda like a jellyfish.

I got it on sale for 2 bucks and was kind of disappointed in it. It seems made for Poser and there isn't much modification you can do to it. Β I was hoping there was a rig in it, but there are just three modifier deformers.

What pleases me about this isn't just the shaders and posing (although that's great).Β It's the composition.Β I know as well as anyone how tough it can be to set up a dynamic scene with lines still leading up and right, and this is a great example of that being done well.

OH, wow... I can hear a conversation in the background.
"Let's see, now how do we take down a being made of slime that breaks down the molecular structure of everything?"
"We don't. Run!"

Swords and Arrows won't do much good, they may be better off running. Maybe they need a magic user
