Thank you, I have been watching to much "love, death and robots" and wanted to try and get some better realism in my images, so I started simple

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I feel like I am cheating doing portraits.Β It's like going back to basics and working on fundamentals. I always revert to them when I can't think of what to do for my daily experiments or when my more complicated experiments aren't working out as I imagined.Β

Very cool portrait
I love the way she's smiling.
As if she was seeing the future (her death)
but stayed optimistic and confident (or felt no fear) about itΒ

I agree
That's all the magic of 3D :
when life seems to shine through virtual characters.
That's what you've done here

Really beautiful portrait work, Joe. I dare not brave the world of portraits, as previous attempts ended in failure and they're not my style although I love seeing what other people can do with them. It's a strange thing: there's so much realism in her skin, the beautiful lighting, her subtle expression, yet there's a sort of traditional painting style to it. Perhaps it's the lighting and the colors displayed. She's really great.
