There's something about your style that I always found charming; maybe it's the manner in with you curve your lines and add extra weight to your characters near the ends of their appendages/bodies, a style reminiscent of that of Chris Sanders', used most notably in Lilo and Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon. (I just realized that might be one reason why your mares could be often described as 'flankylicious'.) Either way, it marks you as a distinct cut above the rest of the artists in MLP and TF2 fan bases for having such a distinctive characterization to your art and almost instantaneously recognizable for anyone familiar with it. I saw the colored pieces they use for banners on FiM Fiction.net and instantly thought; "Hey that's Joey-Darkmeat's work! Awesome!"
Speaking of FiMFiction and things that are awesome, I'm not sure if you're much into reading, but there's actually a story about this premise called Twilight's Demoman Devastation [link] (sequel to Lyra's Pyro Predicament [link] ), which follows the plot point that Pryo Predicament left of with about Twilight coming to possess the Bombminonicon.
I haven't read it yet, but I will now.
