So yeah, this wouldn't necessarily be the end-all-be-all hip-hop montage I would rock personally, but these were the artists mentioned by the person I did this for. I intentionally lessened the amount of detail on the roots and Jay-Z so your eye would move inward on the entire piece, and there wouldn't be a huge struggle between the different elements.Related content

love it. the only minor detail that's distracting me is the corners, which are obviously all the same, just rotated/mirrored...i would maybe fuzz around with some of the detailing a bit just to make each of them unique.

I get you... That's part of the bleed for the print, so it will end up getting cut out anyway. Definitely looks redundant though.
