This was a freelance project I did a couple of years ago, I never knew if it would be alright to post, but fuck it. I'm curious. Has anyone been in a Steve and Barry's sportswear store? If so, have you ever seen these? That's who these pieces were for, but I never knew if they used them. Alls I know is I got paid to do 'em. (I'm such a whore.)Related content

don't feel like a whore for being paid to do them. it's a sad concept but money has become a necessity to do anything, most importantly live. it sucks even more when it's a necessity when you're in love, whether it's with a person or art. oh well, we strive...

You just gave me an idea for my portfolio! My teacher thinks I should apply my tradiitonal skills in a few different styles - vectorized charcater designs with simple background plates. Brilliant! The Archer is sweet. And the earth-guy's weapon is cool. The rest is a little bland, but the concept is pretty sweet. Great for silk-screen pre-press.

Thanks... Yeah had to go with the client's needs on a couple of them. I never saw the final product, but everything was finished on my end.

what is the technique you use to ink these figures?

Vector.... I drew them out in pencil, scanned them in, placed them in Illustrator, and traced over the linework to get the clean lines.

u use pencil of comix inking or rapido pencil or what? and what method in scanning?

Just some run of the mill scanning of my pencil drawings, and I re-create the entire drawing in vector.

DAMN dude, that is awesome! I really like the linework and the inking! The coloring is very pleasing to the eye, and rockin! All the poses are dynamic as well, and the boxed in BG's help add even more flavor! Gotta fav this!

i mean, don t misunderstand me... it s ok... only that a guy would have his chest that way if his arms are relaxed... like falling right from his shoulders...
in this case there should be tension on the.... hamm.... outsider part of the chest, the muscle that comunicates the chest with the shoulder and this explanation has alrready become to long

Ohhhhh yeah!!! I just finished Fable (kinda disappointing...TOO SHORT!!!) and I've been an online halo 2 junkie for a while now. Can't wait for FF XII and Advent Children (BIG UP SEPHIROTH!!!)
I really wish they'd make another console FF Tactics though. I went through the gameboy version and completely dismantled the old PS one version years ago.

Well, I love Final Fantasy and I haven't finished a game called Rhapsody yet
(it's a RPG). The only game I have been playing recently is DDR Konamix.
I love playing games but I just don't have the money to get the system *or*
the games I want to play (i.e. Kingdom Hearts 1,2, Final Fantasy, Xenosaga, .hack, Dead or Alive, etc.) but when I do, I'm getting some fighting games and RPGs...stat.

Kingdom hearts definitely. I want to get the 2nd one. I beat the hell outta the first. I never really got into Xenosaga, I DID play xenogears back in the days of PSone. (I don't think they have anything to do with each other). I definitely need some more fighting games. These regurgitations of Street Fighters are starting to bore me, even though I am a DIEHARD SF fan! Guilty Gear's pretty cool.
Video games are basically my only addiction, besides coffee. I have maaad systems. PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, Gameboy SP, Dreamcast, Sega Saturn and Genesis, Super Nintendo and 64... My wife gets a little annoyed with me about it. I know she's gonna throw them all out on me if we get in a bad argument, so I'm watching myself!
