I think you can submit it as a .blend file with a preview image, and there should be an option to sell it, not quite sure. Maybe it's one of DA's many premium only features.

Yes, it allows files other than images, but it won't show a preview for most. Any type of archive, for example.

When you upload something you should have an option on the top right that says something like premium content. You can then add extra files which people can purchase. Very impressive by the way!
