I can't find proper words to define this! (maybe because I'm Italian XD)

It's just... amazing.

The lower part is similar to the creation pillars in M16, but i have a doubt: is light coming from behind them or it is just something you did for its own sake?

Ovviamente Fav.

The nebula is beautiful. Fantastic job on the planet, too.

Really pretty blues and greens here. I like how the planet looks, and how you've got it captured against the nebula.

That row of planets priteeboy mentioned also throws me off. Moving the middle one out of the sequence would've done the trick in my opinion.

Chromattix [2007-10-15 08:38:55 +0000 UTC]

It's eerilie beautiful. The pillars of dust in the nebula are reminiscent of stalactites in a cave, and it has an almost spider-web look to it. Both of these things kinda give it a dark and mysterious feel to it.

The sharply detailed planets are nicely contrasted against a smooth backround, which lets us know that eve though the nebula is the biggest, brightest aspect of the artwork, it is really the planet that is the main subject.

The only thing that makes it a bit unnatural are the row of planets at the bottom going from small to big...perhaps randomise the pattern by putting the smallest between the medium and big planets.

Thank you for such an amazing review
About that planets - I know it looks unnatural but it helps overall composition and makes the planet truly the main subject. Sometimes I forget about realisticism and let myself bathe in fantasy

Chromattix In reply to JoeyJazz [2007-10-15 09:36:31 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, well I guess the small to big thing helps lead the eye away from the equally impressive nebula and back to the main subject. Both are balanced evenly so one dosn't dominate the other too much.
