Description
You thought YOUR childhood was awful . . . .*old image I have to re - submit to Scraps. If you submit an image exclusively to a Group, you (and the Group itself) can do very little with it, it turns out; I don't recommend it.

I wonder whom he's eyeing there. And if it's with distrust or longing or both. The edgy style is very very fitting for him, methinks.

You draw the perfect teenage Snape. Maybe its the cubist composition of his face, but the lines, colors and overall look are making me think of early Picasso subjects. Such a complex and misunderstood boy.

Thanks very much, what a nice thing to say Maybe the cubist analogy is very apt, as he was such a fractured kid

Wonderfully heartbreaking. It's like he's about to sigh deeply and I can almost see him doing it. I love it!

Things are really good right now, though the house is a bit of a mess. Also ... I'm working at a new job.

Congrats on the job!
You want to feel better about your house, this guy is all over my house. The place looks picked up, but it is fuzzy as heck [link]

Yeah, it's weird. The group admins, of course, can move it around within the group and delete it (which I've done in favor of this one, and it made the Spinner's End icon disappear from its page - I have no idea where it "really" is now; limbo indeed!), but while I'm used to getting "this deviation is already in Spinners--End's favorites" and having to copy to Features of the Week from Resources, for some reason I was really flabbergasted by not being able to even try that.

It's a puzzle, but I'm not gonna choose 'exclusive' again

His posture/hair is perfect. I like that you did a closeup of this part of that picture (which I also loved)

This is a wonderful Sev. The sort of sketchy, loose, dingy style is so fitting, too. Beautiful.

Some people from Russian fandom not present on DA admire the pic as well: a shared the link.

I'm afraid your understimate the pic a bit)) - it's really so touching, and it has been made the feature of the week at S.-E. not for nothing. Oh, this Russin blog of mine is closed for those who don't have an account here.... But all the comments are in Russian anyway.
Well, the "Museflash" was a sensation, people admired it, and rather a famous fic-writer Emily-Waters said it was precisely like she imagined Severus.
And I promised to make an entire blog-entry dedicated to your art as you're a prominent fanartist.
About this one my blog-friends said he was lovely and touching and one of them asked permission to repost the link in his blog. )

Yep, and a girl, I guess, rather younger then both of us, but PhD already, told your September 1981 Severus (I wrote about the "S. 1981" challenge at S.-E.) looked like a saint, so I answered her she caught your main Snape-concept correctly and showed her your "Ecstasy...".
You're world-wide famous, gals, anyway: I learned about all the fanart at a Russian !cooking forum, whish had a section for chatting on other topics than cooking. There were some HP-fans putting fanart to their entries.

Great drawing, Cathy-- the monochromatic palette is a perfect fit for the character's pose and expression.
