Description
For those of you who don’t get this joke. The guy Mickey waves goodbye to is Alex Hirsch, who created the super popular Disney series Gravity Falls, which ended after only two seasons. After which it was announced he would be working on a new animated series for the Fox network (though we’ve yet to hear what that is).
I guess as soon as you enter Disney you can never leave.

Alex Hirsch said on his Twitter that a show on Fox was never actually in production. Still a great comic, though!

So this is what the epilogue of the buyout comic looks like ,I thought it would be about out some government Federal Approval for the fox deal or some aftermath of the marvel fox movies which will happen few years later. And speaking of Alex Hirsch,We didn't hear about the news of his primetime adult FOX animated series.

In my opinion, all Disney "needed" to buy was the Marvel rights; that way the Inhumans would have their proper "anchor" series and Iger or Perlmutter wouldn't/shouldn't feel the need to keep killing off anything X-Men or Fantastic Four out of spite (and those series have gotten a LOT of strife and wrath from the leaders of the Mouse House), . Not to mention buying an ENTIRE SEPARATE COMPANY AND ITS SUBSIDIARIES (and causing a whole lotta trouble and inching closer to world domination) just for ONE PERSON is just a bad idea, no matter how good their output (no offense to Alex Hirsch though, as Gravity Falls seems to be a well made show). That's part of my read on the Fox buyout, anyway.

Wow! I had no idea that happened. What next? Will Disney buy Adult Swim to cross the GF with Rick & Morty?

For that Disney would have to buy Warner Bros, owners of Cartoon Network, which airs Adult Swim

Then they'd technically own DC too, wouldn't they?

It's not for The Other Marvel Movies, The Star Wars Prequel, The Alien's Franchise, The Simpsons... Heck, Not even 60's Batman & Olive the Other Reindeer (I Think)... It's for Alex Hirsch

That wasn't the case. Alex Hirsch's original plan was indeed to wrap up GF after three seasons, but he later decided to wrap it up after two as he didn't want the story to drag on too much.

he say thyan some ideas for a season 3 are in the final episodes of season 2 (more exactly, in the afdtermatch of the portal). also if you check the diary 3 (the oficial book), a lot of ideas than we wanna see (lore) are in the book, ideas like "where Ford did he go? what dimensions he see?"
he says no, but his pen says another thing

I thought Alex was co-writing the script for the live action "Detective Pikachu" movie.

He is co-writing the script for the live-action Detective Pikachu Movie, which is coming next year (the game is coming in a couple of months, too.)
There was a report from Variety that Alex Hirsch was working with Fox on another series, but neither Hirsch nor Fox made an official announcement regarding what Variety reported.
