Contains minor spoilersOkay, knowing the nature of Wonderbolt episodes, this is never going to happen. Still, I can't do anything but hope that Soarin will actually stand up for Dash during episode 7. Here's to hoping for more SoarinDash moments!

In that episode he only called her "Crash" once. But, anyway, she was like Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and (only with him) Rarity. And all of us know that is Rarity who makes stallions fall in love with her, right? Well... If you see the scene again, you'll see that she prepares herself before talking to Soarin.
And in the Wonderbolts' performance, they fly side by side. ❤️
And, close to the end of the episode, he is the FIRST ONE to complement her when she was sad.

I honestly really like the way they portrayed the Wonderbolts. I was worried that they'd all just be supper happy nice. But they actually banter and rag on each other like real team mates would.

Thank you so much! I wish that this had happened as well, but I loved that "Rainbow Fash" scene just as much. I'm actually surprised that this episode got so much heat, but I can see where they're coming from. I actually enjoyed this episode quite a lot, especially with a second viewing. Loved all the interactions between RD and Soarin.
On some level, everyone in this comment section was right. Soarin was much more supportive to Dashie compared to the others, especially Misty Fly. I have no idea what happened to that girl.

If only we had AKR writing the episode and not some new writer whose not written anything for six years and the last thing they wrote included HIV woman having babies.
I remember when all the writers that came to MLP were famous beforehand, and were good writers.
Instead we have Dash here being a totally diferent pony before doing anything with him.

I'd love to see that. The past Wonderbolt episodes have shown that Dash's heroes aren't all she thought they were. I mean, in Rarity Investigates, with pretty much no evidence she was going to be kicked out. Soarin managed to get them to come down to "guilty until proven innocent." (Yeah, there was planted evidence... ALL of which came AFTER the scene where she gets accused.) And then the real culprit turns out to be a legendary Wonderbolt! Before that, there was the way they treated Soarin in order to get Dash on their Equestria Games team. Before that, Lightning Dust.
I like to think that Dash will get in, work her way up the ranks, and implement some much-needed changes. I'd like the next Wonderbolt episode to be when Dash admits to herself that the reality of them isn't the same as the dream... and decides to change that. (It may never happen, but then, some other things we thought would never happen have.)
