Aloa!
This is the line art of the 5th pic of a series of drawings about the consorts of the Nine Arch-Devils that I planned to do for eons.

This is the Lady of Despair, Zariel, Arch-Duchess and former ruler of Avernus. Her consort, the pit fiend warlord (and former general for the Dark Eight in the Iron Guard of Dispater) Bel betrayed her in the aftermath of the Reckoning of Hell (the last big civil war of Baator) and now he is the current ruler of the layer.
It is said that she is currently imprisoned and continuously tortured in the Bronze Citadel, in a secret room right under Bel's throne hall . The pit fiend is not a unique baatezu (and only unique baatezu can be nobles), so he has to keep consuming the essence of his former mistress to obtain and maintain the powers of an arch-devil. Avernus's unpredictable balls of fire are said to be the embodiments of Zariel's rage.

I searched a lot on the net about the aspect of this arch-devil, but it seems that official informations about her don't exist (I founded only hat she is female, that was probably a former aasimon - a Lawful Good angel corrupted by the evil of Baator - and that her reign lasted for a really long time). When I saw that there weren't any description of her I thought: PERFECT, I'll draw her my way . And this is the result.
She has got feathered wings because she was an aasimon (probably an astral deva or a solar) in the ancient times. Both her weapons are gifts from Ephelomon, the red consort of Tiamat, the Chromatic Dragon Queen (she also keeps her domain in Avernus where she defends the portal to Dis, Baator's second layer). The creature's bodies under her are balor demons (she was as deeply concerned with the Blood War as Bel is now).
