Description The big sewer spider, the childres devourer, the dancing clow, Pennywise's "true" form appeared in 3 distinct ways over time, so we'll see a little about them

IT (Book) - 1986: In the book it is just described as a big black spider with strong legs and a chuncky body, she pours a saliva from her mouth and has a sting, her belly is swollen, revealing she's pregnant (in other words a big pregnant spider), when Bill is about to defeat Pennywise he briefly sees it true form, he describes it as an endless, crawling hairy creature made of orange light

IT (Series/Movie) - 1990: In series/movie it is presented as a spider-like creature, has only six legs, two arms with three fingers in the hands, hair around the body, a mouth full of sharp yellow teeth under his fangs two eyes and under its belly are the deadlights (My favorite design)

IT: Chapter Two - 2019: In this version the pennywise form predominates, with only a few long legs with spider claws at the tip, and arms with mantis-like claws in the movie is never told if this is it "true" form, the movie implies that the it true form are the three orange Deadights (Worst design in my opinion)

It's not really a remake, it's another adaptation of the book

The problem with the Spider form is that without something to link it with Pennywise the Dancing Clown, it's just a giant monster or an overgrown spider.  That's why Tim Curry's It felt anticlimactic as there was nothing about the Spider that makes audience go "Oh it's Tim Curry as a giant spider."  Now spiders can be scary no doubt but it's not surprising that when artists depict IT as a Spider, they always try to find some way to link it back to Pennywise.

Personally, I prefer the "endless, crawling hairy creature made of orange light" description of IT over the "big black spider with strong legs and a chuncky body."  One sounds like something out of a Lovecraftian tale while the other sounds like an oversized Australian black widow.

I like the 2019 one because it's more accurate to the book (I think)

Of all the commentsin this pic this was the most strange, how do you think the 2019 is more accurate to the book? it's just pennywise with extra legs, the book one its just a spider

I found the clown drider cringy to look at. He looked like Turbo from wreck it ralph when he fuses with a cybug.

The new one is kinda fine, seeing the design being inspired by a fanart someone did make after Chapter 1's release.

The internet is stagnating cinematic creativity. I remember when movies represented artists individual expression and didn't pander to fan needs. Fans weren't sticking their ladel into the master chef's pot. The visionary could express himself uninhibited by the masses of the common folk.

The book version looks funny here.

The 90's one is probably the best looking, IMO as well.

The 2019 one....yeaaaaah no.

I prefer the new version, as it allows more screentime for Bill Skarsgard, and doesn't look nearly as goofy as the laughable puppet used in the 1990 version. He still retained his spider/bug like features, but kept a familiar presence which was overall more consistent with what came before.

never knew that's his true form since it's my first time hearing about IT
you still do these pretty good.I might choose the 1990's and book versions cause they look like real monsters....the other one is just like a joke
