For those of us who like to do our own track ballast, our options in Z scale are Marklin (expensive) and Atlas (more reasonable. However, the Atlas switches do not come with actuators. A $20 Atlas N actuator will work. But Micro-Trains sells packs of 4 Z scale actuators for under $40 -- less than half the price. So I worked out how to use the Micro-Trains actuators with Atlas switches. This is my basic instruction page for preparing the actuators for use with Atlas. Usage instructions coming soon.
