Description Someone once asked if I'd do a tutorial on how I make sonic screwdrivers, so here's the first few steps in machining the body.

I've been really behind lately, so hopefully doing these will keep me on track a little better.

Correction: Drill out to 37/64" (yes, that is a real thing). Looks like I get to scrap some metal...

Thanks. Yeah, you have to be really careful when using a drill press to do mill-type things.

I can imagine it being a pretty slow and tense process. and not something you can do with a 40+ year old drill press lol

That's what I said for five years while I was in grad school. Just as soon as I got a job and covered moving expenses I snagged mine.
